Privacy Policy for DiskPilot

Last updated: August 2, 2026

DiskPilot is a macOS application that helps you analyze and clean up storage on your own Mac. This policy explains, plainly, what happens to your data.

We do not collect any data

DiskPilot does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal data, usage data, analytics, or file contents. Everything DiskPilot does — scanning, measuring, and cleaning your storage — happens entirely on your own Mac. Nothing is ever uploaded to us or to any third party.

No accounts, no tracking

DiskPilot does not require an account, does not use any analytics or tracking SDKs, and does not use cookies. There is no way for us to identify you or your usage of the app.

In-App Purchases

DiskPilot offers a one-time in-app purchase to unlock cleaning features, processed entirely through Apple's App Store and StoreKit. Payment information is handled by Apple according to Apple's own privacy policy — we never see or receive your payment details.

File access

DiskPilot reads file metadata (names, sizes, locations) on your Mac, within the folders you grant it access to, solely to show you how your storage is used. This information never leaves your device.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the update will be posted on this page with a revised date above.
